Mahindra XUV 7XO Spotted Ahead of January 5 Launch: Design, Interior & Engine Details Revealed

Mahindra & Mahindra is gearing up to kick off the new year with a major SUV launch. The company is set to unveil the Mahindra XUV 7XO on January 5, marking the facelifted version of the popular XUV700. Following Mahindra’s new naming strategy—similar to the XUV300 becoming XUV 3XO—the refreshed SUV will carry the XUV 7XO badge.

Ahead of its official debut, the Mahindra XUV 7XO has been spotted testing on Indian roads, offering a glimpse of key design and feature updates.

Mahindra XUV 7XO: Exterior Design Updates

The upcoming XUV 7XO is expected to receive noticeable styling enhancements. Spy images suggest a reworked headlamp setup featuring dual-barrel LED units, inspired by the Scorpio N. Mahindra may opt for a projector-style LED configuration this time.

Another major update is the new U-shaped LED DRL design, replacing the current downward-extending layout. These changes aim to give the SUV a more modern and aggressive road presence while maintaining its premium appeal.

Interior & Features: What’s New in the XUV 7XO?

Inside the cabin, the Mahindra XUV 7XO is likely to take a step forward in technology and comfort. Unlike the current dual-screen setup in the XUV700, the facelifted SUV is expected to feature:

  • A dedicated passenger-side display

  • A large touchscreen infotainment system

  • A fully digital driver’s instrument cluster

Additionally, Mahindra will continue offering its popular Boss Mode, allowing rear-seat passengers to electronically adjust the front passenger seat for increased legroom.

Engine & Performance

Mechanically, the Mahindra XUV 7XO will retain the same engine options as the XUV700, ensuring a familiar and reliable driving experience. Petrol and diesel powertrains are expected to continue, paired with manual and automatic transmission options.

Launch Date & Expectations

With its official launch scheduled for January 5, the Mahindra XUV 7XO is positioned to strengthen the brand’s presence in the premium SUV segment. Enhanced design, upgraded interiors, and trusted powertrains make it one of the most anticipated SUV launches of the year.
